This is a translation of the Norwegian privacy notice. If the two differ, the Norwegian version applies.
Who is responsible
Norskpenn is a product from Optimagus. The data controller is the private individual who runs Optimagus, whose name and address are on the page Who runs this site. Contact: [email protected].
What we process, and why

Your draft and your choices (task, test level and the language of the explanations) are stored only in your own browser, so you don’t lose your text. You can delete them by clearing the site data in your browser.
We don’t use cookies for tracking or advertising, and we never sell information.
Grading with artificial intelligence
The grading is done automatically by a language model from Anthropic (Claude). Your text is sent to Anthropic together with the task and the assessment criteria, and the answer is shown to you. Anthropic doesn’t use texts sent through its API to train its models. Don’t write your own name or other personal data in the text. Sign with a made-up name.
The grading isn’t a decision about you with legal effect. It is practice and feedback.

Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction and data portability, and object to processing. Write to [email protected]; we reply within a month. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
Changes
If we change this notice in a way that matters, we update the date at the top.
